Album Dashboard File Upload
This tool lets you import your collection of albums to your iPhone or iPod Touch in two easy steps described in the instructions below.
Instructions
First, save your collection into a comma delimited (.csv) file. If you happen to save the file as a .txt, this will work as well providing it is in the right format specified below. Many databases have this option readily available as an "export" feature. In Excel, you can simply choose "Save As..." and then select the option for ".csv"
Select this file using the form below. This will run validation to ensure that the file has three columns: artist, album, and genre. Any more or less will cause an error. Below is an example image of what the file should look like:
To view the file as plain text, use either Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac OS X).
After you receive a success notification, it will provide you with an ID. Simply open Album Dashboard and select "Import Data" from the Summary page. Specify this ID and the file will be imported onto your device! Please note, this will overwrite and replace any existing entries currently on your device - feel free to email yourself a back-up first.
We hang on to the file for about 24 hours. After that point, you will simply need to repeat this process for any updates you would like to place on your device.
